The Stuff the Bus event will take place outside the Dillons store at Fairlawn Plaza, located at SW 21st and Fairlawn Rd., on Saturday, April 19. Participants are encouraged to drop off their contributions between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Last year, the initiative successfully amassed over 2,500 pounds of food, setting a high benchmark for this year's efforts. Community members are urged to exceed this milestone by generously giving what they can.
Beyond the food drive, Topeka Metro emphasizes its commitment to enhancing public transportation access during the summer months. From May 1 to August 30, children aged 18 and below can travel free of charge on their buses. However, children younger than five must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure safety.
